On the fifth arrondissement of Paris, you will find the charming Rue Mouffetard.

One of Paris's oldest and liveliest streets and we love it there! It is in the Latin Quarter and there is so much to see!

One of our favourite shops on La Mouff!

We believe that if you haven’t been to visit “ La Mouff” – known by locals, you haven’t felt the heartbeat of Paris. It is not frequented by tourists. Just the same ~ If you haven’t been to Duncan Yard, you haven’t experienced Pretoria!
While it is open to traffic, it functions for the most part as a pedestrian street - which is a big part of its charm. Also it only comes alive after 11am in the morning as we discovered too late. We were so excited , we were there at 09h30! Luckily in time for the fresh market.
This little street has become a big attraction for Parisians - especially the young ones. Being one of the oldest streets in Paris, there are houses here that date back to the ninth century!

Androuet!

There are more than 200 varieties of different cheeses to choose from at Androuet! Don't you just love the Frescos on the walls! It warms my heart to see it every time!
On this charming street you will find boulangeries, fromages, pâtisseries, florists and more…

until next time rue Mouffetard!

Every time we visit this little street it looks different but strangely familiar...

Moi Decor at Duncan Yard has expanded!

We are happy to announce that an expanded Moi has openend her doors. We are opposite the Deli on Duncan. Next week we will be blogging about our favourite little street in Paris, rue Mouffetard, that reminds us of our beloved Duncan Yard. So be sure not to miss that post!

Déjà vu at Moi Decor

We have been unpacking FaBulouS new stock and have been remininscing about our recent trip to France and indulging in the enjoyable recollection of past events at our little store that is now all grown up. We lov, lov, lov when you share your experiences and fond memories from day one. It comes with a warm fuzzy feeling, knowing that you love what we do. Merci!

Moi ~ since February 2004!

Moi Duncan Yard was born in the month of February 8 years ago ~ in the month of love. It has been one of our greatest pleasures to bring french romantic decor to your doorstep. We look forward seeing you in our expanded flagship store. " Joyeuse Saint Valentin "

Ooh la la, Hotel Belfast ~ Paris!

If you have to be close to where it is happening, even closer to where it is pretty, where it is clean, where it is French, like us... then we will let you into our secret ~ a little gem. Hotel Belfast is our retreat in Paris. It is situated just off the Champs Elysees, fabulous! www.hotelbelfastparis.com ***Our Duncan Yard store is now OPEN! Brides-to-be can view our items to rent.***
It’s affordable, clean, the service is wonderful and it is a few metres away from the following: Metro Line One (yellow line) which is the main metro line in Paris, feeding the other metro lines ~RER train line. Airport Shuttle drop off & pick up (this is great as we don’t have to waste any time or Euro’s on cab fares to get to and fro from the airport. And when you travel like we do, saving on the per suitcase tariff means a nice lunch at a Parisian Cafe instead, mon amie! ) A stop for the Tour Hop on and Hop off buses. (We enjoy this ride and is worthwhile in every large city.)

Stunning view of the Arc de Triomphe, and a view of the top of the Eiffel Tower.

The windows in our bedroom were double layered, so we got no street sound, and our little balcony looked straight onto the stunning view of the spectacular Arc de Triomphe, and a view of the top of the Eiffel tower.

Avenue Carnot! One of the streets that radiate from the Place de l'Étoile.

The area has some fantastic cafés and brasseries and we also stumbled upon a little fresh food and flower market close by (where the locals get their fresh produce from) just outside the metro Ternes.

Hotel Belfast, Paris...highly recommended – “ Enjoy! “
