Enchante

Last year the whole street came alive with Xmas magic, as more than 80 traders took part in the event. Cafe's and bistro's were buzzing with people. We are looking forward to this year's event as we now know what it is like at 4h Ave Parkhurst during this time. We are looking forward seeing you!

Xmas in July at 4th Ave Parkhurst - enough reason to interrupt our journey!

This year we have received wonderful press on the event (radio interviews, article in Killarney Gazette, and Diary mentions in a few National magazines ).

Place d'Albertas

Over and above a lot of culture, art and music festivals, Les Deux Garçons, the famous brasserie that has been there since 1792 is a must on your list. I got lost in time, could stay there forever.

This is the fountain...

There is so much to see in Aix, this is where Paul Cézanne was born. He, Picasso and many other young artists gathered around this fountain. I was in awe, as Cézanne after Degas, is one of my favourite artists, his Basket of Apples are special to me and there I was at the very same fountain!!!!!

Aix...

So many little towns that capture your heart but one that still holds a place in mine is Aix-en-Provence, or like the locals call it, X. When we arrived there, the daily vegetable and flower market was in full swing at the place Richelme. How I love those markets! By noon everyone starts packing up, to my surprise.( That is also the time to get a good deal, I learned but only then!)
