Joyeux Noël!!

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year!
We lov these stunning slip covers from Laduree!
Even though the French are not big on Christmas trees you will quicker find a nativity scene or creche ( French for manger ) displayed and it serves as a reminder of the Christmas celebration. The lights on display are a breathtaking reminder of this festive period. How about these fabulous lights that adorn the Eiffel Tour? It is a time for family reunions, generosity, a big feast called Le Réveillon - that is a highlight of this time, followed by-la Messe de Minuit on Christmas Eve - Midnight Mass, and gifts for the little ones.

In France candy, fruit, nuts and small toys will be hung on the tree overnight, anything from Laduree will make us smile! Merci!
French little ones put their shoes in front of the fireplace the night before Christmas, hoping that Papa Noel will fill them with gifts. Nothing stopping a girl from doing the same! We hope yours get filled with everything you dreamed of!

" J'adoreeee Vence! "

This town in the South of France inspired me so much! It is here where Moi Decor was born, many years ago.
" C'est la vie, mon chéri!"

Quaint, French boutiques!

Pâtisserie - French bakery that specializes in pastries and sweets - my favourite!

Oh how they do tempt you! How do the French women stay so slim I wondered...apparently they only have one at a time, that is their secret.   " Bon appetit !"
If you lov shopping like I do, well this little town is full of enchanting surprises! Around every corner...

Artistic treasures...combined with history and culture...lov!

In this tiny Romanesque Cathedral will you stumble across Marc Chagall's mosaic - " Moses saved from the waters"

Matisse's dream, so humble...it could be mine!

I was amazed at the humble entrance to Matisse's home, that brought a tear to my eye as it could be my reve, or dream too. He had such a big influence on this dear little town of mine!

Moi Decor does Wedding Favours!

With wedding season in our midst, Moi Decor now offers a range of trés chic, affordable wedding favours (also known as bonbonnieres).

A wedding favour is an optional, but small thank you gift for your wedding guests (usually, but not always, for the female guests). Many years ago, French and Italian aristocrats would send their wedding guests home with a small bonbonniere, filled with 5 sugared almonds. By passing the gift onto their guests, the newlyweds were seen as handing over some of their ‘love luck’ to their guests. The 5 almonds represented Health, Wealth, Happiness, Long Life and Fertility. The wedding favour has evolved since, like a keyring or sweeties is preferable to an ornament-type gift. To see what favours we have instore, visit us at our Parkhurst or Pretoria shops!

How to find us? We are just behind this mosaic wall in Duncan Street. Pop in to see us!

Duncan Yard

Moi is situated in this quiant little village called Duncan Yard, in Hatfield Pretoria. It is a charming surprise to everyone that stumbles upon it and you might feel like you are in the South of France too!
Our next visit in France is a stunning little town and we can't wait to tell you about it! But right now it is time to get back to Moi in Duncan Yard and Cobbles Centre!
