Let's have a quick peep!

Talk about shopping, some of the new arrivals from France in our stores...

Thursday, June 24, 2010

We need to leave now, a lot more to see.

How sweet is this! I still want one.

Shopping...

That I love even more than Carousels!
Carousels...how I adore them! I was surprised to find a different one in nearly every Centre Ville in France.

Touriste!

As we stopped in France a little boy shouted " Touriste! Touriste! " He was so excited. Smile. Did we look so different?

Off to France..

I enjoyed every moment in Spain but could not wait to see more. After a few exhilarating days we headed for Perpignan, France.
As you can see, hubby being an Engineer was tickled...
Outside La Sagrada Familia the so familiar smell of chourico, grilled on the fires, welcomed us.
Heading to Casa Batlo I couldn't get over the architecture in this city.
It was like being " smack bang " in the middle of Hansel and Gretel! What an imagination this man Gaudi had! I have never seen anything like this before...Wow!

We headed straight to Park Guell.

The porter at the airport wanted to know if we didn't forget something since it looked like we brought our ' Casa ' with us. Smile. It wasn't 10 minutes later, in a strange city, on the other side of the road that my hubby was driving like a proper gypsy...off to see Gaudi's work.

( Got a little side-tracked with the excitement in our stores.)

Back in Paris hubby surprised me with " Let's visit Barcelona." Yes! I wanted to see Gaudi's work. He booked us into this Fabulous hotel ( he had all of this up his sleeve as it was our wedding anniversary, I just didn't know at the time.)

More festivities on the way...

We are expecting our French Shipment in this week. Will keep you posted!

Dressed up for the occasion and supporting our team Bafana, Bafana!

Moi's Interior Designer - Quintin, Illana from Beautiful Beginnings and Sandra our neighbour joined in the festivities.

Still at Duncan Yard...

In a very festive mood, we were celebrating the Worldcup opening.

" The first time I saw Duncan Yard, I fell in love with it. It reminded me of the South of France and with the vision that I had for my shop, I knew Moi belonged there. "

Bienvenue!

If you drive past Duncan Yard in Pretoria you will see this mosaic on the outside wall, inspired by that visit
Back in France, hubby and I decided to visit Ville de Chartres, not far from Paris. This little town caused a new interest in my life, Picassiette...I still can't get over Raymond Isidore's life story. Bizarre! Unfortunately I don't find time to indulge in that anymore.

Les Puces

Being fascinated with treasures, anecdotes and strange places, I was in awe at the Puces de Paris. Oh my. What a treat. Do yourself a favour and go, but go early as it gets crowded!
